The Artist In The Ambulance- Thrice

One of the best post-hardcore releases, and the best album from one of the best modern rock-related bands. Thrice have since taken a much more Brand New-ish direction, but at one time, they were a kickass metalcore/post-hardcore outfit. This is before the experimental flourishes on Vheissu, but the band still shows variability through mathy time shifts, increased use of strings, and most importantly, incredibly consistent songwriting. On this album, Thrice definitively said farewell to their scene by simply conquering it and moving on. I love this album dearly and you probably will too.
