I've only heard this a few times, but it's already one of my favorite releases of the year. Swamp rock is alive and well in the hands of these Canadians. Channeling bands like Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival and even folksier musicians from time to time, the band goes through a cycle of stomping rockers, hazy folk tunes, and fuzzy jams. The vocalist is just gnarled-sounding enough. Good enjoyable music for driving or social occasions, as well as for personal pleasure.
