OK Computer- Radiohead

Probably the best album of the 90s, widely considered one of the best of all time, only rivalled for Kid A as Radiohead's masterpiece, this is the rock album of its generation. The mood of paranoia and dread permeates even the more upbeat numbers, but the hooks on 'Karma Police' and 'Lucky' are as catchy as any single Nirvana released. It's impossible to say what is so great about OK Computer, but if I had to try, I would say that Radiohead basically took over the rock world by writing a bunch of more or less straightforward rock songs that hadn't been written yet, but kicked a bunch of ass. In some ways this was the last great album before Internet downloading changed music as we know it. Buy it, but if you'd rather not, download it here.
